Principles of Emergency Medicine are taught as an integral part of the Medical curriculum at UWO. Teaching occurs in all four years of the curriculum through lectures, small-group seminars and supervised clinical experiences in each Emergency Dept. All members of the Division are involved in providing the above clinical teaching and every medical student experiences a clinical rotation in one of the four Emergency Depts. during 3rd year clerkship. Some members of the Division are also involved in providing PBL (problem-based learning) teaching, Clinical Methods Course and basic science lectures (pharmacology).
